Gastrorchis humblotii var. rubra outcross #888 ('4029' x 'Dan') (available in flasks of approximately 10 or 25 seedlings per flask).

The Species: This grows at elevations from 3300 to 5000 feet in Madagascar.

Culture: It is an intermediate to cool grower. I fertilize them with 1/4 strength fertilizer most of the year and a bit lower strength in winter. I water heavily from mid-Spring until early Fall and reduce the watering in the winter, but don't let it go dry for ay extended period of time. Moderately bright. I grow this in a light terrestrial mix, in a fine bark mix or in a 50/50 mix of medium bark and compost.
