Holcoglossum tsii #6202 and reciprocal 6203 outcross ('8265' x '0275') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a terete leafed, vandaceous species found in Yunnan, China. It was first describe in 2000. The inflorescence is pendant and carries several of the 1.5” flowers. The longest leaves on my plants are up to 7” long and mostly pendant. I have found very little information about this species on line. I do find them easy to grow and bloom. Culture: I have always grown this in cool temperatures (to 50F minimum winter night) though I have seen beautiful plants grown in intermediate temperatures. I water them year round with dilute fertilizer. All of mine are mounted though would be fine in a hanging basket or a pot where the pendant habit would be accommodated. Parents: Holcoglossum tsii '0275' |
