Sold out Laelia autumnalis 'AK86 Flare' outcross #535 ('Stony Point' x 'Sanchez') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This Mexican species is a fall bloomer with fragrant, long-lasting flowers that is found in the highlands at elevations from 5000 to 8600 ft. The parent plant of this cross came from Mexico and I have grown it since 1986. It is still a favorite. Culture: This species grows well with a wet summer and cool, bright, drier winter. It can be grown mounted or potted. If potted, a medium bark is a good choice so there is air around the roots. In the habitat, the winter lows will be in the low to mid - 40F, summer highs are in the low 80's. I have grown it with 50F minimun winter nights. Capsule parent: Laelia autumnalis 'AK86 Flare'
