Sold out Leptotes harryphillipsii selfing #2181 (Leptotes harryphillipsii 'Buenaventura') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This miniature species was named in 2004 by Eric Christenson from a plant at Andy's Orchids. It was name for Harry Phillips, the brother of Andy Phillips. This species is closely related to Leptotes pauloensis and is endemic to southeastern Brazil. Culture: This species will do well in intermediate conditions. It is usually grown mounted where the roots can dry a bit between waterings. The person who owns this particular plant gives the following description of his culture. "I grow this on a vertical cork mount with a thin pad of sphagnum moss over the roots. Summer temperatures are warm (high of 90+F and lows in the 70's F). Winters are more intermediate with highs 75-80F and lows 55-60). Given year-round water; daily in the summer and in the winter watered when dry or nearly dry. I provide it bright dappled light."
