Sold Out Lycaste campbellii outcross #1065 ('10/09' x '1736') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a small stature lycaste species that produces fragrant, yellow flowers up to 1.75 inch wide. It grows in Panama and northwestern Columbia and is a deciduous species, that blooms before the new growths are up very far so they flowers are very visible. It requires a dry winter rest to perform well. The leaves can get up to 18 inches tall, but are generally shorter. Culture: I grow this in intermediate conditions. It is from lower elevations and would probably do well in warmer temperatures. It is watered and fertilized regularly once the new growths are up and starting to open. In the fall as the leaves begin to yellow, start reducing the water and fertilizer. The plants do not need to be bone dry, but watered or misted enough to keep the pseudobulbs from shriveling. Pollen Parent: Lycaste campbellii '1736'
