Sold Out Masdevallia andreettana outcross #2669 (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a charming miniature species found in southern Ecuador and northern Peru at elevations from 5300 to 7000 ft as an epiphyte in cloud forest habitat. The flowers are about 1" wide and up to 4" including the tails. Culture: I have always grown the adult plant mounted so that the slightly pendant flower will be shown at their best. If you choose to grow it potted, use a small pot with excellent drainage. It grows in cool-intermediate to cool conditions with year round water and dilute fertilizer. I would recommend starting these in compots. Masdevallia andreettana. I do not have images of the parents for this cross, but the images below show the species well.
