Sold out Masdevallia datura selfing #3531 ('Lisa' x self) (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This wonderful species is a prolific bloomer with flowers that look delicate but last very well. This is a high elevation plant from Bolivia. Its range is from 7850 to 9200 ft elevation. It is a cool to cool-intermediate grower. Culture: I have grown this well with 50F minimum winter nights. The friend who gave it to me has grown it at 56F minimum nights. It is watered year round. In the habitat it does get less rain in the winter when but not a hard dry rest. I have grown it well potted in fine bark and also mounted on cork or hard wood. Use good quality water, good air movement and grow in moderate light to bright shade. Parent: Masdevallia datura 'Lisa' |
