Sold out Masdevallia glandulosa outcross #2834 ('3352' x '3355') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This is a miniature species that has leaves under 5" tall. It grows in Ecuador and Peru at elevations from 4000 to 6000.It has the most wonderful fragrance of Dentyne gum. The flowers last well and it is very free flowering. Culture: It is an intermediate to cool grower and like all cloud-forest plants, it requires good quality water and year round moisture. I fertilize them with 1/4 strength fertilizer most of the year and a bit lower strength in winter. I have done best with this species mounted. Others grow it potted in a fine bark mix or moss in terra cotta. Care should be taken to repot before the media breaks down if they are grown potted. Masdevallia glandulosa. I didn't do a good job of documenting the parents. I am showing another from the same source that is of equal quality.
