Sold out Paphiopedilum dayanum #5118 selfing (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: First described in 1895, this comes from Sabah, Borneo on the lower slopes of Mt. Kinabalu in secondary forest where it is found growing in moss and leafy humus as an epiphyte, lithophyte or terrestrial. The elevation range is 1000 to 4760 ft. The inflorescense has a single flower which is up to 4.3” tall. The leaves are 6 to 8” long, 2” wide and wonderfully patterned. In nature temperatures are stable through the year. Days average 80-84F and nights average 59-62F. Culture: Potting mix should be moist but not soggy. Repot before the medium breaks down. Water with dllute fertilizer. Parent: Paphiopedilum dayanum |
