Sold out Polystachya valentina outcross #784 ('Stony Point x 1686') The Species: The mature plant stays under 8" tall and has very compact in its growth. The inforescence has flowers that . The flowers are non-resupinate (upside down), about 3/4" across, have a delicate fragrance and are long-lasting. It can bloom from spring through late summer on a spike that has 4 or 5 open flowers at a time and continues to open new flowers over a period of months.It grows in eastern Zimbabwe in the Chimanimani Mountains at elevations between 4000 and 6000 ft. Culture: I grow it potted potted in fine bark mix and grow it in the 50 to 55 degree minimum night with year round moisture. The color of the flowers is darker when grown on the cooler side.
