Renanthera bella #5450 outcross ('Stony Point' x 'Kyryll') (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: A monopodial species found on Mt. Kinabalu in Borneo at elevations from 1300 to 4000 ft growing as an epiphyte. The flowers on the my plant are 2.75" tall with an apricot colored background mostly obscured by the red spotting. The plant continues growing and can get quite tall but doesn't spread out so is manageable. The inflorescence is horizontal to slighly arching and can have up to 20 flowers. It blooms multiple times per year. Culture: This can be grown in a variety of temperatures. The pollen parent is being grown in cool conditions; mine is growing in intermediate conditions. The flasks are being grown in warm temperatures. I grow this in enough light to bloom Cattleya species next to it. Water throughout the year. Pot in a medium that allows plenty of air around the roots and repot before the medium breaks down. Capsule parent: Renanthera bella 'Stony Point'
