MF-HF Analog Phasing

This is a design to create a project that can separate  incoming signals from a quadripole antenna, typically a pair of orthogonal active dipoles, in order to isolate O and X waves coming from the ionosphere. While this process is perhaps best done with DSP, this HW solution is sufficient to perform the same task without requiring an SDR and separate computer.  The following plot shows the degree of separation possible using only analog components.

When the input sources shown are replaced with the outputs from the CAT5 cable, all incoming wave polarizations may be synthesized.  This process may also be better and more easily performed by digital signal processing within  dual-ADC software defined radios.
