Round Top Ramble itinerary   - created July 19, 2018

About 2.5 - 3 hours walking time.
Start and end at visitor center on Skyline Boulevard.
350 feet elevation loss down to old tunnel (2 miles), 
regained on Skyline Trail (1 mile).

Start (and end) at Sibley Staging Area on Skyline Boulevard

Take paved road east 1/4 mile; left at fork to Round Top Loop Trail

After .4 mile, sharp right to path to quarry pit

At quarry overlook, north on ridge trail to series of labyrinths;
 if concerned for height (though trail is safe),
 return to main trail and keep right on spur to labyrinths.

Return from spur, backtrack very short distance to lower (Quarry) trail for 1/2 mile;
 turn left (downhill) at paved road.

Follow Quarry Road 1/2 mile past *restrooms* to Old Tunnel Road.

Turn left and follow it to picnic table and east entrance to old tunnel
 (entrance is not visible from trail).

Rest and recuperate; imagine scene in 1903.

When ready, proceed up the Skyline / Ridge Trail about 1 mile back to start.
