You are invited to participate in an immersive training in the circle way. We will be learning-by-doing, supported by group reflection and discussion.

We use the power of circles in many settings:

• For resolving conflicts and making things right when someone has been harmed
• Supporting small-group planning and problem solving
• Building supportive communities among co-workers
• Transforming challenged classrooms into vibrant learning communities
• As a source of support and wisdom in our lives
• Creating, maintaining, deepening intimacy and authenticity in our family relationships

Your circle keeper/trainer will share experiences and insights on a variety of important concepts for circles.

• The elements of a circle
• Circle and Council: what is the difference?
• Crafting high-quality questions that unify the work of the circle and release its wisdom
• The talking piece--ways to use it and when to set it aside
• The unique nature of the role of circle keeper
• The role of participants in guiding the work of the circle
• Practical ways to use circles in your classroom, workplace, family, community
• Circles and restorative dialogs for exploring and learning from conflict
• Giving and getting support as a circle-keeper

Many participants of past events are returning on a regular basis, partially to deepen their understanding of circles and circle keeping, but also because our training days are very enjoyable, supportive, and often profound experiences.

Location: 3440 Airway Drive Suite E, Santa Rosa unless otherwise announced.

Date: October 22, 2011--Training is limited to 12 participants, so register early.

Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, one hour lunch break

Cost: $45.00-$70 self-determined sliding fee scale. Each day is a unique experience; if you have already attended you are invited to return. There is an additional fee for 1 CEU through Sonoma State University.
