Leonardo Drew "135T", 2007 Mixed media on paper 23 x 23 inches $12,000 framedThe artist makes collages using various materials that he breaks into pieces or wads together and then assembles them into these larger grids. This work involves shards of acrylic paint that he first pours into thick sheets and allows to dry. The paint is then frozen to make it brittle and cut. The pieces are then stacked to make the final works. Other materials he has used are densly compressed cubes of cotton and bits of rust shards.
