Old Woman, Spirit of Takasago Pine
uses an old woman's mask called uba
old women are charcters in most sublime Noh plays
this one is also used for blind women
Old Man, Spirit of Sumiyoshi Pine
uses the most "attractive" of the older men's masks, one with
regularity, softened features, aristocratic demeanor
God of Sumiyoshi
uses the mask of a young man with doubt but of high rank and power
