Unprinted Dog
May 15, 1955. Photographer: Will. 35mm Kodak Tri-X negative.

This shot was a flub of some sort, under- as well as double-exposed, and therefore never printed. I semi-successfully retouched out the ghost images of some blurry white blobs.

This shot is also valuable for us Penna house detail freaks, as it's the only one I know of that shows the "hallway" and the hall closet. It was really a short corridor of only five or six feet, connecting the kitchen with Mother and Father's bedroom. The bathroom, just around the corner from Missie at the heater vent, also opened out on it. The hall closet was mostly occupied by heater ducts running upstairs. Otherwise, it contained our supply of aspirin and other over-the-counter remedies, plus towels, toilet paper and anything else Mother deemed appropriate.

I can't resist pointing out the handle of the can opener in the upper right corner.
