The Rambler

The month after we got it; the registration is still taped to the windshield, as was the custom in those days.

At the age of 10, I pitched the idea of buying the Rambler to Father, sitting him down with brochures, specs and doing a hard-sell.

Hudson and Nash had merged to become American Motors, so ours was actually a Hudson Rambler. The white roof was a dealer-applied extra; I'm not sure whose idea that was.
