IMPACT first started showing up on TV in the mid-50s, and it was always an event around our house to catch the showings. As an impressionable 9-10 year old, I was all agog over the almost incredible idea that a real movie was actually made in our very own Larkspur, right around all the places I knew in my everyday life.
