June 1957 Taken from an elevated driveway on Locust. The large white gabled building partially obscured by trees toward the right is Old St. Patrick's Church on King St., then used as the parish hall. The Post Office itself, here within a year of its construction, is near the center bottom, the small flat-roofed building with the flag pole. Notice the cool two-tone white and aqua1956 Pontiac 2-door hardtop parked across the street. Super Anscochrome slide by Will Penna |
