The time: May 1955. The occasion: One of the earliest of Will and Paul's walks through the Larkspur hills, near the area now called the King Mountain Loop Trail. Will is 17, Paul is 8. High above Larkspur, Will snapped off four shots in a way that he obviously intended to result in a continuous panorama. To my knowldege, however, these images are being stitched together now for the first time.

November 2002 update: Rosemary and I have found that this view is now obscured by a stand of eucalyptus trees.
