Christmas 1955

Father and Paul. Probably Christmas Eve, those being the days when present-opening was reserved for the day itself.

The fish bowl on the windowseat, here half-full of yellowish water, was sometimes used to house tadpoles we captured at the Russian River. Also, occasionally somebody would win a goldfish at a church festival, and that's where it'd be for its lamentably brief life.
