Reptile Man

I’m a reptile man,   in a reptile world
Got a reptile job,   got a reptile girl
We crawled out of the sea,   but we didn’t get far
I know it ain’t pretty,    but I know what we are

Got my snakeskin shoes,   all scaly and green
They guide my feet,   at night when I dream
My reptile brain,   it’s tryin real hard
To tell me something,   tell me something,   something...

Open your eyes,   got to feel that heat
Suns coming up,   crawl onto the street
We have our reactions,   reptile people, reptile town
We have only a while,   before the blood cools down

Reptile blood moves slowly,   reptile brain patterns freeze
The recapitulation started,   but got brought to it’s knees
Keep trying to evolve,   but I don’t get far
I know it ain’t pretty,  it ain’t pretty,  ain’t pretty...
