Educational Goal:
My educational goal for this semester is to pass this class with an A, but most that just get a good note, I want to learn all I can from this class so I can use if in future projects.

Computer experience -
you never stop learning about computer! My last experience: Last semester I was learning how to use WordPress, I had several headaches in the process, but I learned a lot. I used Hostgator domain for first time, (Good Customer service after I canceled my account).

Personal Story
People call me George since I was a kid. Half of my family live in California, and the other half in Guatemala City, (a country in Central America. ) I like to listen to the music, unfortunately can't give me opinion about new music. I rarely listen to the radio because I don't like to listen the same song on and on. I'm enjoying the lovely sound of the Abbey Road album while doing this homework. I like to go to the movies, I watched Hitman agent 47 last friday. It is an well done action movie, pretty sure some people wanted to see a sequel from the 2007 film, but you will not regret it.

My educational goal is to obtain an AA degree, majoring in Digital Media: Interactive Multimedia. I already earned my AA degree in Business Administration in May of 2013, so I had the general education goals already taken care of and only need to complete all my major requirements. I originally worked toward the business degree because I have always done accounting jobs. After taking the CS 50.11A&B classes, I found I would prefer to work with digital media, especially graphics and websites. I have to say that graphics are my passion. I am taking this class to enhance my web designing skills and to fulfill prerequisite requirements for another class required for my major, CS 50.32.

Computer experience -
I have quite a bit of computer experience. I'm not a major geek but I am pretty tech savvy. It helps that my husband, Chris, works on computer. I even took some computer classes and am working on a Computer Studies: IT Support Certificate so I can help him with our computer business, which is run out of our home. The only thing left to do for that certificate is 3 units Computer Studies Occupational Work Experience Intern. I like to experiment with different software programs/operating systems on computer. My desktop computer is a triple boot with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 as options to choose from.

Personal Story
I am originally from Nebraska but have lived in California since October 1991. I am currently living in Rohnert Park with my husband and 3 sons(ages 12, 21, and 23). We also have a cat(Tuli) and a dog(Twink-E) in our family. When I am not busy, I like to watch movies(or my tv shows) and play my Facebook games(Farmville 2). Currently, my life tends to revolve around taking care of Twink-E because she was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus(type 1) on March 13th, which requires strict routines for giving insulin and feeding meals. I have learned so much about how to care for a dog with diabetes that my head is about to explode from all the knowledge(and I still have a lot more to learn) so you can say that it is a forced upon interest for me. I was lucky to have found a great support group on Facebook called Canine Diabetes Support and Information.

Computer experience -
I am a Mac power user, and have extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I have taken Web Development 1, 2, and 3, and am in the midst of learning how to read and write javascript.

Personal Story
I am a vegetarian and vegan Chef at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Marin County. I have worked there for four years while I have been going to school part time at Santa Rosa JC. I am happily married to the love of my life who is also a Chef. We live in Fairfax where we study Buddhism, and tend a beautiful vegetable garden together. We are deeply blessed.

My name is Alexandra. I am originally from Michigan, and moved to California about 6 years ago. I love the weather, culture and beauty of the bay area. My favorite thing to do is travel and plan/dream about future travel plans. I also love to practice my photography, play volleyball and go hiking. My family consists of my mom, dad and a twin brother and sister. I have a boyfriend of five years who I love dearly. I am looking forward to continue learning about web design and development and seeing the work everyone creates!

Educational Goal:
I am a graphic designer by day, busy mom by night. I have an AA degree in Art from SRJC and a BA degree in Graphic Design from SJSU. My latest educational goal is to obtain a Certificate in Web Design; and this particular class is part of that curriculum.

Computer experience -
I specialize in print design and have worked in the publishing world for over 15 years. I've always had a love of the arts, and graphic design is one of my biggest passions. Coming from the printing arena, my interest in web and digital media comes from necessity—the world is relying more on electronics and less on the printed paper. I definitely have an interest in digital photography and love manipulating the images in Photoshop.

Personal Story
When I'm not doing nerdy design stuff I like to get out from behind the computer and get outdoors—biking, hiking, whatever. Something new I'm trying this year is training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I'm participating with my sister and it's an exciting challenge to say the least! But my favorite job of all is as a full-time chauffeur, ATM, chef, cheerleader, and ultimate nag to my 16 year old son.

Educational Goal:
I found myself without a job and lacking in current computer skills. I took PowerPoint and Excel courses and then I found Photoshop. After I completed the four courses, I began taking other Adobe related courses. After this semester I should have enough courses to achieve the Adobe Specialists Certificate. I am taking this specific course because during my journey towards the Adobe Certificate I found I enjoyed learning about coding. Plus I needed an outlet for all of the great things I was learning to do in Illustrator and Indesign and put it to use in the CS50A/B/C courses. I am hoping this course will help me with the aesthetic aspect of web page creating, plus further my understanding of HTML and CSS.

Computer experience -
Prior to Photoshop I had relatively no experience with computers. Since then however I have learned a bit more, mostly through trial and error. However when I have serious issues I have a computer guy I call. Hopefully this semester I will not have any serious computer problems as I retired my poor little laptop I had been using and just bought a new hot rod 12GB desktop computer with a 2TB storage. I am looking forward to no computer problems this semester.

Personal Story
I have been married for over 30 years, have a son and a daughter, both of which have blessed us with 3 grandsons. Our daughter Samantha has 2, Aidan who is almost 3 years and Johnny who just turned one. DJ, our son named his son David III and he is two. I am a self-titled "Granny-Nanny", I take care of 2 of my grandsons during the week. It had been all 5 days but was recently dropped to only 3 days a week which is nice. When I am not running around after the boys, I enjoy spending time with my camera. I also enjoy a little golf or a ride with my husband on his Harley.

Educational Goal:
I am a graphic design major, and I am currently working towards the graphic design certificate. To supplement my skills in graphic design I began taking the HTML and CSS courses. I have completed the three Web Development courses and decided to take Web Design as well to continue building my skills as a designer.

Computer experience -
I have been working with computers since I was ten. It was not until the past few years that I have begun learning how to code as well as using digital art programs. I'm more comfortable working in Windows, but I can find my way around a Mac if necessary. I am mainly versed in the Adobe suite as well as MS Office. Overall I'm really comfortable using a computer and I hope to keep learning more and hopefully take more programming courses.

Personal Story
I came back to the JC about three years ago, mostly to learn how to use Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I then decided to pursue the graphic design certificate to make a career change. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Printmaking, and eventually I came to the conclusion that graphic design would be the best way to employ my artistic skills. I live in Santa Rosa, which is where I was born and raised. I spend most of time either drawing, reading, or watching the Giants.

Educational Goal:
My goal is to become a graphic designer. I decided to seek certificates in web design and graphic design to be more well rounded and marketable. This is my third semester and I've already learned a ton of information. I am taking classes part time and working as a teacher full time. I've learning some html and CSS and am looking forward to learning more in this class. I'm taking this class in particular, because I needed to do an online course due to my work schedule.

Computer experience -
I've taken web development one and two, as well as photoshop one. I use a Mac, but have also worked with PC's. I have a lot of experience with the Microsoft Office products, and have been using technology as a part of teaching for the last decade or so.

Personal Story
I have two daughters (5 and 9), a dog and a cat. I enjoy being active with dance, tennis and time at the gym. I'm very much into movies and music, as well. I work as a science teacher. I taught high school science for 15 years, including chemistry, biology, earth science, anatomy/physiology and health. I took a new job this year teaching science and math at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, which has been a welcome change. I'm hoping to become a graphic designer someday. I also plan in remaining a teacher at least on a part time basis when that happens.

A couple of years ago, I enrolled in my first Web Design class because I decided it was time I learned how to make a website. The class was with you Linda... I have continued taking courses as my time allowed and I am completing the Web Design and Development Certificate Program requirements this semester. I hope this will lead to new job and busienss opportunities.

Computer experience -
My computer experience includes database administration, software and process implementation and training, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe programs, MS Project, MS Office Suite, HTML5 / CSS3, and multiple CSR, financial, and specialized software programs.

Personal Story
I am a Sonoma County native and grew up in Petaluma. My sons are in their late 20's and one is getting married. I enjoy hiking, arts and crafts, sewing, woodwork, water, camping with amenities, and the list goes on and on. My passion is fostering kittens for the Sonoma Humane Society were I also volunteer for Community Outreach events and as a buyer for the Paws to Shop store at the shelter. I hope to create an online store for the Shelter eventually.

Computer experience -
Most of my life I have been using computers. In school I have always used computers, so I am familiar with many programs and computer features. I have taken web design and I am very comfortable using either Macs or PCs or make web code.

Personal Story
In 1997 I was born in a town called Nicoya on the west side of Costa Rica. I moved here a few months after I was born, and have lived in the U.S.A. my whole life. I play soccer, tennis and basketball with my friends for fun!

My educational goal is to obtain a Web Designer Certificate, which is why I am taking this course.

Computer experience -
I’ve taken HTML/CSS, Adobe and screen design courses throughout college. However, most of those courses I took a few years ago when it was all about HTML 4.01 strict—HTML5 and bootstrap are still very new to me. I took an HTML5 intro last semester, and it’s clear that I have much to catch up on. The internet changes very fast. I enjoy the design part of web design best, and I have no problem with HTML. I’m not a programmer; I can’t read javascript or C++, but I can learn to place it in sites as long as I have clear instructions.

Personal Story
I’m Janet Prouty, 25, a perpetual college student, semi-hikikomori (recluse). I enjoy web design, Adobe programs, and creative writing. Through Berkeley’s extended education program, I’m taking editing courses for a certificate. I have no current job because of an anxiety disorder. My hope is to find a career that allows me to work from home. I like Japanese pop culture, Korean dramas, and computer games. My hobby is writing light sci-fi.

Personal Story
I live with my boyfriend, our five dogs and one cat. I work and go to school part time. My friends are mostly moms and scattered about, but when we get the chance we like to go shopping, drink iced drinks, watch movies, go see live music, and eat lots of food. I also like to go to the nature and be creative. I'm interested in being creative and trying as much dark chocolate as possible.

Computer experience -
I've worked with pre-made layouts in Wordpress and Squarespace for my company, but I've never made anything from scratch up until this past summer semester. I'd say that I'm comfortable coding in CSS and HTML. I know nothing about javascript.

Personal Story
I graduated in 2011 with a BS in Journalism (Public Relations) from Cal Poly SLO. I moved a few years ago with my husband up to Santa Rosa for his work at Keysight Technologies (formerly Agilent Tech). He's an Electrical Engineer. I'm a videographer for our local business Red Rascal Films. We film mainly sports and company promo videos and wedding highlight videos. I figured that web design and videography go hand-in-hand; web design is an excellent skill to have, so I'm looking to get a certificate. Eventually I'd like to build websites on contract, which would make it easier for me to work remotely and with my schedule. My husband and I enjoy rock climbing. We're out climbing most of the time any chance we can get, and we'll be traveling a lot the next couple of months with friends, so I'll be completing my homework from the road.

Computer experience -
I've been using a computer since I was five years old, but most of that time was playing games on it. It wasn't until I got older that I started to learn about many different programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc. I also have a lot about Adobe products as well such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Premiere Pro. I have taken a C++ programming class and currently taking the JavaScript class this semester.

Personal Story
I love playing video games and have been playing them since I was a kid back on my PC and Nintendo 64. I also watch anime in my free time. Although I don’t like staying at home or playing games all the time, so I tend to try and keep myself busy with other things, like working out, hanging with friend, etc. My mom is nice enough to let me live with her for free as long as I keep going to school, and has been a great mother throughout my life even though she annoys me from time to time. I also have a handful of friends who are close to me, and are almost like family to me.

I am the Northern California Area Manager for First American Title Company. I have lived in Sonoma County for 6 years. My wife and I have a farm in Mendocino County where we have 350 olive trees. We produce Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This year was our first year to sell oil at the Boonville and Mendocino Farmers Markets. We have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. My wife is a Master Gardner in Sonoma County.

My original goal was simply to update my computer knowledge. I am self-employed and in the past I've made websites with Dreamweaver and I wanted to know how to make them from scratch. I planned to use my knowledge for my business but maybe I will hire myself out to others if I can get better at this! I have completed most of the HTML5 Web Content Developer Certificate and will just need one more class next semester. I am pretty excited to learn more about Bootstrap.

Computer experience -
Made websites with Dreamweaver. I did SEO and web analytics for that. I made money on my site. I also write on Hubpages as Doodlehead and want to use that as one landing page in the future.

Personal Story
I am an older student with an undergrad in Bacteriology from the U of Wisconsin. I was a biochemistry research associate for five years. I got bored in the lab (really) and wanted to be self-employed as my family is all self-employed farmers. I have been self-employed since 1981 in financial services. I took BASIC programming at Foothill College in 1980 and Pascal Programming at UC Berkeley Extension. Self-taught on Dreamweaver.
I am a single person with a wonderful mini-schnauzer named Winston. I remodel houses and made my first kitchen copper countertops recently. I walk two miles a day. I dispense information to my friends about homeopathy and how to make your own "remedies" to knock out colds, flu, migraines and other problems in four hours.

Educational Goal:
I am the teacher for the class so I get to have the most fun!! My educational path began with a degree in Home Economics from Humboldt State. I taught Junior High and Senior High Home Ec for 8 years. In 1988 I began teaching part time at SRJC in the Fashion program. I used computers to help students design clothing. I decided to go back to school and work toward a Masters in Education with an emphasis on Instructional Technology. I received my Masters in 1996 and was hired 1 month later to be a full time instructor at SRJC. It took me 5 years to earn a Masters, it was hard, it was slow, and it was worth it.

Computer experience -
I started with an Apple IIE in the early 80s. Once I startedusing the Mac I was seriously hooked. I use an iMac in my office and have G4s at home. I have been teaching in the Computer and Imformation Sciences department since 1994. Prior to that time I also taught computer classes at Montgomery High School.
