I uploaded all of the graphics on the student server at the SR campus...It didn't seem to help much. I have been working on the server here at work and all of the merchandise graphics will load but not the background graphic or the banner at the top. Linda - My html code works fine in both my netscape and sbc yahoo browsers but, on the pponting URL there is something wrong with the "eBay" button on the home page. I've uploaded it twice and still get a broken symbol. I'm sorry to submit it like this but I've got to get this in to you.
I put images & photos on the Home page & the Gallery; all images have alt tags; the linked graphics are the nav buttons on each page; all pages have color; all text/links have color; the background image is on the Contact page; the imagemap and animation gif are on the Services page.
You advice on that eBay button would be most appreciated!

1) All three graphic images are on the index page. The flask with the herbs was purchased from Comstock.com several months ago. The tablets and the poisen drum were downloaded from two different clipart sources.
2) The flask was reduced by 50% and the poisen drun was reduced by 70% - both in Photoshop.
3) The Bulletin Board page (Board.html) contains the imagemap, which was created from one of my own photographs using Photoshop.
4) The background image is on the NPSI Resources page (Resources.html).
5) The sidebar image is on the Who We Are page (WhoWeAre.html).
6) The code for text is on the Members Benefits page (MemBenef.html).
7) the code for link color applies to all pages.

Hi Linda,
All images are in an images folder in the public_html folder. The imagemap is ukdtl.jpg. Click on the 3 people - my hubby, me and my son. The index.html contains the background image. I created this background image from one of my paintings, did the negative of it and faded it, then hightened the brighness and made it big enough to have minimum tiling. Each page has a specified color for background page, text and link. The image I converted from TIFF to JPG is ukdtl.jpg. I did the conversion in PhotoShop.
Sorry this is late. I mentioned in previous emails I had trouble uploading my new code via FTP. I ended up installing the FTP software you mention in the graphics lesson on my PC at work and did successful uploads there. Not sure why the firewall at Agilent let me do this. At home, once we upgraded to Direcway satellite from dialup, I wasn't able to do the upload via FTP from home. thanx for all you help, Tosya

My background color is used on the first page along with text color. I added a couple graphic image buttons to my homepage as well. Other images can be found on my pictures page where I was able to resize some of pictures and fit them to my page. My background image is located on my "This N That" page. The imagemap is located on the music page and is the first music on the page. There are links that link to other topics on the page, but I am not entirely sure that the imagemap worked properly. I followed the steps, but it was a little more confusing than I thought it was going to be.

I had some of the images that I had saved from prior emails. I also have ClipArt CDs, they are about 6 years old but offer alot of options.
I had a hard time with this assignment because of my lack of understanding of how Photoshop works and could not get some of the images to enlarge or display.
I turned the world into an imagemap, I copied the code into the contact.html file. I did not make it a background image, I got the link name to display when the mouse moves over the hotspot. I feel like I am just scratching the surface of the knowledge that is required to create the site I want.

lets see; the home page has page color and text color, the ford picture has the image map for a link to the Ford Motor Company. I had a fustrating time with this trying to come up with an image that I could do something with. I need to get Photo Shop and learn how to use it. The calender page has, color, links color, and an animated gif. There must be a way to reset the link so you can see what the unlinked color would look like. The affiliated clubs page has a background image and that is it. This is good practice, but my website will be simpler, I also noticed that there is a difference in the way the website shows when you have your screen resolution at different settings. I noticed that when I was at work and looked at my website, I had some text and image overlap that I did not have at home, it was a huge difference and both are on explorer.

The home page contains code for page, text and link color.
The power of one vote image was converted from a jpg file to a gif. The buttons and background image were created in Photoshop Elements 2 (PE2). The book stack was a photo taken for this purpose and manipulated in PE2. The logo was reduced in size. It seemed that Graphic Converter did this better than PE2. Do later versions of Photoshop do this better? A jpg looks better but does not have the transparent background of a gif.
It's a good thing that we aren't graded on aesthetics.
