| The inspiration for this piece was a small bone that I found in the desert. I did it for a sculpture class tought by Jack Zajac at the University of California at Santa Cruz. I started with a chickenwire frame and used a whole lot of plaster to fill out the form. The piece was on display in one of the courtyards at UCSC for a year or so until the elements led to its demise.I also did a welded steel sculpture, Cubic Bone, from the same bone a year later. | ||||||||||
