Well, it seems that being a wealthy Musclecar collector is really not all it’s cracked up to be. Always there are problems, like where am I going to put that new Corvette show car, which high dollar project to start next, problems.
So, the club went on down to visit Reggie Jackson’s musclecar museum, and saw just how tough it can be. Seriously, we all had a great time, it was well worth the drive. What we saw, was dozens of fantastic musclecars, lightweight racecars, hot rods and other neat stuff. All crammed into a warehouse about two sizes too small to hold it comfortably. I suppose Reggie really needs to sell a few cars, but which one? One of those factory lightweight race cars? One of the 57s? Couldn’t sell one of the Novas could he?
Oh, the Novas. You were waiting for me to mention them I guess. Very nice Novas. Very rare Novas. There was a 1967 two door sedan, with an LS7 454 big block conversion. Very nice workmanship, it looked like a factory built car. Nice as it was, this may be the least valuable Nova of the bunch. . There was a 70 LT1 Yenko Deuce. Bright red, and looking like a new car, as did all of the others. Then there was the other Yenko, a Rally green 1969 427 version.
One of only a few still in existence. Then the sleeper of the bunch, a plain looking Burgundy 1973 Nova SS hatchback. With a 427 conversion done by Nickey Chevrolet. This one was just kind of hiding back in the second row, looking all innocent. Until you got a closer look, that is.
