WEAVING  WORKSHOPS

TAPESTRY WEAVING on the TRISHARY LOOM with Trisha Gow

In this workshop,we
learned how to warp
and weave on the
small Trishary circular
looms. Our little
tapestries could be
left on the loom as
a frame, or taken off
in order to reuse the
loom at another time
.

NAVAJO SPINNING & WEAVING - with Doug Elliot and Stephanie Hoppe

Doug Elliot demostrating carding and Navajo spinning with Dermocybe phoenicea var. occidentialis dyed wool.

This was a community effort: Doug Elliott spun the yarn, and Vicki Fraser dyed the yarn with mushroom dyes. (Brown is from Pisolithus arhizus; Pink and rose red are from Dermocybe phoenicea var. occidentialis and yellow is from Phaeolus schweinitzii).

Stephanie Hoppe wove the tapestry "Under  Mushroom Star", and the edging cords were (acid) dyed by Carolyn Carleton.
