CIS 158.1 - design for the rest of us...
Welcome! This is the official website for CIS 158.1 - Web Tips and Tricks.
This class was designed to help you create attractive layouts for Web sites. You may use these templates for your own personal use, or for the sites you design for others, as long as you credit the template designer.
Three templates are used in the class. You will choose one template and work with it each week to modify the .css, images, or html. Along the way you will learn about Cascading Style Sheets, XHTML, and either Photoshop Elements or Photoshop.
The class requirements are that you select 1 template and use it as the basis for your Web site, however to get the most out of the class, you may want to make 2 or ever 3 versions of the site using all the templates. For the beginning Web designer, this would be an overwhelming task, but for the advanced student this will enrich the class experience.
Use this class Web site to access and turn in homework assignments, check your grades, link to Web resources, read your classmates' messages, and review the syllabus. Before you forget, bookmark this page, and the "assignment" page since you will visit these pages weekly.
