A four day workshop in beautiful Sonoma County for teachers, professionals and adults seeking a threefold perspective on the developmental stage of adolescence towards the empowerment and emancipation of modern youth.
Who Should Participate in this Program?
The content of this program is useful for Waldorf teachers, educators, parents and professionals working with pre-teens and adolescents who are seeking an expanded understanding of the inner life of teens and their mission in life. This four-day program is part of the yearlong training for certification in the Coming of Age Program. Fee includes art supplies, handouts and bibliography.

Themes will include:
- Review and exploration of the biography of participants with a focus on their own pre-teen and adolescent years. What happened, how did it feel, what decisions did you make about your life, your possibilities?
- Introduction to the heart and soul birth experienced by the adolescent. How to remember your own heart and soul birth and recognize your teens awakening heart consciousness and their destiny.
- Development of essential communication skills for adults who seek to support teens in their tasks. How to listen and speak from the heart. The reality of empathy as a bridge during conflict. The phenomenon of the after-image in perceiving anothers higher self.
- Understanding depression, anger, shame, anorexia-bulimia, suicide, drug and alcohol use from the souls perspective during adolescence. How the soul seeks higher consciousness in a materialistic culture.
- Education for healthy sexuality through the development of a self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-care for girls and boys. How to foster feelings as keys to discerning what is good, true and beautiful.
- Cultivating the new arts of facilitation, collaboration and financial literacy in designing rites of passage, curriculum and programs for diverse communities. How to incorporate the wisdom of many individuals as bridge building from the past to the future to benefit the needs of teens-in-transition?
