Something odd is at work with my animated gif. On this page it zips along with a reasonable dissolve between frames. ( I did find that through the process the image had degraded some, so I am using the animated gif as an IMG LOWSRC and the orginal gif as a strait SRC. This way, after the lower quality gif has run, the page loads a better quality unanimated gif in its place.
The problem is on the actual page I use. The same files run slowly and without a good dissolve. The problem is that between frames, the browser is recycling the background. If I didn't have the line that I was trying to keep contiuous, this probably wouldn't be a problem.
