Friday, August 16th, 2002 ... 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. ... KZSU, 90.1 FM

Interview with Eddie Gale today. Eddie's played with the likes of Cecil Taylor in the past (he's on the 1965 classic Unit Structures), but unlike most old jazz cats, he's made San Jose his home. Norm Mineta, when he was mayor, proclaimed Eddie to be San Jose's Jazz Ambassador to the World. Eddie's still around (obviously), doing lots of work with kids, and has a new album coming out.

He'll also be at Yoshi's on Monday the 19th ... we'll be talking about that, about the album, about Eddie's past and present lives, starting around 4:30 p.m.
