KZSU Playlists: Memory Select
90.1 FM, Palo Alto, Calif.
Fridays, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
May 30, 2009: OKAY, I ADMIT IT.
I've given up this page for a "real" blog:
wedgeradio.wordpress.com.
I did enjoy -- and actually prefer -- the format I'd developed here, but
as long as I'm putting the effort into this stuff, it might as well get
read, if even by just a handful of people. This page is dormant but not
ignored; I'll be linking back to it from the blog.
Thanks for reading. And now, the old schtick that was here for years:
Welcome to this crude gateway to my radio playlists. Hopefully the colors for
this page are legible and
not too painful; they change with almost every update,
selected randomly (within reason) using the generator at
random.org (Another good source
is Lavarand).
A few relevant links:
-- Bayimproviser.com, a calendar of local jazz/experimental music shows
-- SOURCES: Where
to find this kind of music, or hear more of it.
-- KZSU, 90.1 FM at Stanford University, California, USA
-- KZSU's program schedule (an updated link that now actually works, as of 4/18/08)
-- Backup source for playlists,
from KZSU's database.

College radio in five words: "Dead air, um, dead air."
(*) indicates a hybrid show that adds heavy doses of pop
and folk to the jazz mix, or bypasses jazz altogether. Usually, I do
these when I'm subbing for someone.
