Extra long show, starting early to follow a special KZSU broadcast live from White Plaza. Intro'd the show with rock to blend a bit more with the likely listening crowd, and because GbV is that cool.

I've played this a few times now ... three-horn improv with a series
of monologues by Roper, portraying very professional characters who don't consider themselves racist,
but are nonetheless suspicious of black folk. Great stuff, and the music
retains a solidly bluesy feel despite being abstract.
Steve Lacy Three -- "Bud's Brother" -- N.Y. Capers & Quirks (Hat Hut, 2000; recorded 1979)
