March Madness
hits Cline Cellars...

With only 64 lots left to blend, what wines will make the final cut for Cline Cellars "1997 Championship Series Releases" in mid-April?

Winemaker Matt Cline and his assistant Don Reha are strategically formulating their final game plan. Vigorous tasting and endless hours are spent on blending trials in the lab and only the top performers will survive to make the 1997 red wine series.

The 1997 Harvest Report
Harvest 1997 was yet another early year. Once again, a warm spring contributed to a fast growing cycle which meant that Cline Cellars' grapes were brought in three weeks earlier than usual. Additionally, the 1997 harvest was an extremely large crop to those at Cline Cellars, despite what is admittedly a minuscule harvest by state averages. Indeed, this harvest brought to Cline Cellars an exceedingly high-quality crop of very forward, very structured fruit blessed with extraordinary dark ruby colors. That said, the 1997 vintage should produce some of Cline Cellars' biggest and richest wines to date.
