Lookout Ridge: Our Team

All the wines for Lookout Ridge are handcrafted under the guiding hands of Greg La Follette, Marco de Giulio, and Gordon Holmes. Because of our "multiple winemaker" strategy, we are able to use a variety of master winemakers to make the wines that are their specialty and passion. Greg La Follette, a master at blending, produces our Pinot and Chardonnay. Marco DiGiulio makes our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, which will be released some time in 2008.

We produce limited quantities of all of these special wines. Try our Lookout Ridge Sampler, or individual bottles. Lookout Ridge donates a wheelchair for every case purchased (to learn more about our wheelchair donation program, see Wine for Wheels.) ORDER NOW

Van der Kamp Vineyard Pinot Noir 2003 - SOLD OUT!

This sensuous Pinot is low in tannins, with a smooth, creamy mouth feel. Van der Kamp's trademark has a smoky, roast meat and forest floor quality and is well-framed by aromas of dark cherry and hints of deep, sweet cola. This vineyard, located near the top of Sonoma Mountain on the north-facing slope, at the highest elevation of all the Pinot Noir vineyards in Sonoma County, is a favorite of winemaker Greg La Follete's. Martin and Dixie Van der Kamp and their son Ulysses steward and nurture this landscape, known for its ideal climate and rich, rocky soil, which help produce the best quality Pinot Noir. The cool, foggy mornings, the warm afternoons and the light breezy evenings help create a grape rich with flavor.
