Heidi Dieffenbach-Carle is a Registered Geologist in the State of California with over 10 years of experience working in environmental geology, performing site assessments, major site investigations, and characterizing groundwater quality. Dieffenbach-Carle graduated from UC Berkeley in 1984 with a B.A. in Earth Sciences and then continued her studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich (ETH-Z) in Switzerland where she completed a Diploma (Master’s equivalent) in Geology in 1988. |
H.R. Downs is the author of "Rhythms of a Himalayan Village", the chronicle of a pre-industrial Sherpa society in Nepal. Downs also served as a UNICEF factory manager and performed other duties in Asia that provided him with valuable background on the effects of development on pristine resources as well as the consequences of development on local populations. After returning home, Downs worked as a media consultant in radio and television and as an editor for ChinaOnline.com, a Web site devoted to business news in China, with an emphasis on development issues.

Deborah Hunt manages a law firm that specializes in election, campaign, and government law. The firm has offices in Mill Valley and Sacramento. Prior to her current position, Hunt was a litigation assistant in several prominent San Francisco law firms for over 15 years. Hunt's legal background also extends to the field of law enforcement, where she worked for approximately 4 years. |
