The Rohnert Park Historical Society was created for the following purpose:
- To collect and preserve biographies, diaries, genealogies, journals, manuscripts, maps, portraits, records and any other articles or materials pertaining to the history and original of the City of Rohnert Park and the surrounding area.
- To promote accurate research in the fields of biography, genealogy and history.
- To identify and ensure the perpetuation of historical landmarks in and around Rohnert Park.
- To support community and private efforts toward these goals.
- To do anything reasonably necessary to accomplish the aforementioned goals and objectives.
