Sponsors
-- we are enthusiastically seeking your financial support for the
2002 May Day Festival! Although the staff and performers volunteer
their talents, certain hard costs (a sound system, garbage, portable
toilets, insurance, and so on) are unavoidable. Our funding for this
event is quite limited and we depend on concession fees as well as
community donations and business sponsorships to make ends meet. This
year's budget, though stripped down to the bare minimum, is earnestly
in need of your financial support, no matter how small. |

Your
contribution will enable this complex event to accomplish many purposes.
The May Day Festival empowers children and teens to share their
creative talents. It teaches traditional May Pole dancing to children
who would otherwise be denied this enriching experience. It hosts
a diverse range of music and dance performances which broaden cultural
experience while providing artistic role models for children in
our community. It is essential that we work to inspire our children
to become artistic and creative thinkers -- to offer them alternatives
to substance abuse and criminal delinquency.
