TLC stands for Transparent Line Control. We chose this name because
transparent is the first word that comes to mind when you hear this unity gain
preamplifier. The phrase "veils were lifted" might have been coined
in response to the effect this component has on music systems. 
Such exquisite transparency is created by a
sophisticated minimalist circuit topology where the signal travels a remarkably short distance and is processed through
only two FET transistors. The conductive plastic volume control has a sonic quality comparabe to a discrete resistor
ladder network, but it allows continuous adjustments instead of a network's limited levels.
Using either the buffered or passive outputs, the TLC-1 delivers the ultimate in non-sound. It acts as a 'clear pane
of glass' passing all the colors of the music it's processing while adding nothing of its own.
