Hey Mark,
Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you I love the Usher CP-6381s. They're
the best sounding speaker I've ever owned and they're not even broken in yet.
Buying a pair of speakers without seeing or listening to them is a huge risk,
but you convinced me over the phone this is the right speaker so I took the
risk.
Paid off big!!
Thanks a lot for everything and I'll try and send some business your way.
Bob Jackson
P.S. Please feel free to add my comments and if you have any customer that would like to call me or write I'd be glad to talk to them
Hi Marc:
The Quicksilver Mini-Mites are hooked up and these are one of the best sounding
amps I have ever heard. Even better than a number of high priced electronics
I've listened to over the years. Normally I would not spend this amount of money
without listening to the product first. I bought them based on my positive experiences
in dealing with you in the past and and you were absolutely correct. I think
it helped that you carry both Quicksilver and Nola speakers. These amps have
a certain synergy with my Acarian Alon 1 speakers using the 4 ohm taps. They
sound like they were designed specifically for my speakers. I haven't blasted
the RR Pomp & Pipes CD because I don't normally listen to that type of music.
However, there seems to be more than enough power on the orchestral and big
band music I do listen to. The bass is tight and the sound is full; the midrange
is outstanding; the imaging and soundstage are all there. BTW the fact that
the owner of Soundscape and the owner of Quicksilver answer their phones (no
voicemail) tells me that outstanding customer service still exists. The next
time I am in your area I will stop by and say hello.
Thanks for all of your help,

Hello Marc, just wanted to let you know that the headphones finally arrived
here in Germany. The reason for the delay was as expected the custom.
Thanks again for the great service.

Our apologies as we lost four years of customer comments when
we changed our Domain Server. So we have to start all over again. Fortunately
many of the consumer web sites have had wonderful things to say about us. We
are very grateful to all our customers for their many kind comments.
Hi Marc,
I am extremely pleased with the new arm. Thanks very much! The new arm doesn't
have the cardboard mounting template included in the box. Please fax me a copy
of the template that is in the box I returned (516-671-4842). I just left you
very nice feedback on Audiogon. Please leave feedback for me as well. Regards,
Mark
We greatly enjoyed our visit last week to Soundscape and hearing the Vincent/Nola gear with the wonderful selection of music that you demoed. The store seems BETTER THAN EVER with a huge selection of fine equipment and wonderful staff. The scope of your expertise regarding music and the features of electronic items is truly impressive.
Jane and I have been fans of Soundscape for many years dating back to its former
location and some of the first erotic art shows. Even though we spent more than
an hour there last week, we still did not get the full tour so we will return
soon for more sights and sounds. Please give our regards to longtime friend
Jason Baldwin who started our tour and introduced us to you.

Hi Marc, Got the DENON Monday. Set it up and gave it a listen in it's stock from…not bad. Mounted my Audio-Technica AT12Sa cart with SHIBATA stylus and used my Dynavector P-75 phono stage…Very impressed! This is a very capable deck at $329.00 dollars. I wonder how long it will be before DENON realizes the price error and starts increasing it? The automatic feature is very smooth and fluid unlike the Thorens TD-190 which I found to be clunky in action. Thanks again, Joe
Hey Marc,
I received the new Denon yesterday and had the chance to play a DVD last night.
Definitely was an issue with the other unit as this player is playing perfectly...
Thanks for the prompt response.....
Steve
Thanks Marc,
Have a great weekend! Always a pleasure to do business with SOUNDSCAPE

It's fantastic: takes about 2 minutes to set the arm up and the vtf is a dream
to adjust.
With my gratitude and best wishes

Marc,
Thanks so much for going out of your way to get this item for us. I know it's far from your biggest or most important sale, and it means a lot that you found something for us that we couldn't find anywhere else.

Hi Marc:
I got side tracked on Saturday and could not call you. I wanted to ask your advice on using my hybrid Odyssey Logans with a small tube amp. I had the opportunity to hear an 8 watt tube amp with some Zingale speakers and heard some triode magic! I didn't seem to hear the soundstage and details with the hurricanes or rogue zeus when i was in your shop. Do you have any suggestions for purchasing a low watt triode amp that would provide the detail I am searching for that would work with my Odyssey speakers? By the way, I LOVED your shop and the attention to detail that you worked for me with my Music Hall 7. I am really enjoying the Sumiko cartridge you recommended. Look forward to hearing from you
Thanks, Bruce Ring
Marc,
It was a pleasure meeting you and Mike today and picking up the AV-25s.
Looking forward to working with you guys in the future. Thanks, Ben
Marc,
Thanks for making this purchase a real pleasure. I mean that literally. You made the buying process fun and enlightening. I learned more from you in three hours than I did after two weeks of running around to every HiFi store near Seattle. You presented the information I needed to hear, diplomatically for better or worse without arrogance or guile. I look forward to doing business with you again and will be sure to make others aware, they should call you first.
Sincerely Charlie Emery

Marc,
Thank you for working with me with the UPS shipping problem I had with my receiver.
Thanks to
your efforts to go the "extra mile" to help me, I have saved myself from possibly
losing hundreds of dollars due to damage caused by UPS.
Thanks again,

Dear Marc,
I just took delivery of
my cables yesterday. Thanks for your very professional support of my order. I
plugged the RCS Air2 interconnect between my Helios Stargate CD player (a french
esoteric brand) and Air Tight ATM2 amplifier, then the Prime 1000 to my Elac 330Jet
speakers. I had a chance to listen to the prime1000
before but my experince
didn't go further than Axiom for interconnect. I have a very good feeling about
the Air2, bringing a lot of detail, sharp and sweet at the same time. It's very
well balanced, with a rather laid-back listening experience. Maybe I'll get even
more after some burn-in. The Prime1000 is very well focused. Overall
this
cable line is conveying an unmatched sense of melody and musicality, rather than
pin-point razor accuracy. That's what I was looking for. You can't get tired listening!
Best
regards Nicolas
Just a brief note to thank Dennis for the time he spent with me today (thursday Sept. 4) I learned a lot about tube amps and mosfets and cabling, not to mention cd/dvd players. Anyway, thank you Dennis and I hope one day to meet you person.

Hi Marc,
Just wanted to
let you know that the DENON is performing OUTSTANDING! I have been enjoying some
of my older JAZZ and EXPERIMENTAL albums this afternoon and really am quite happy
with this table. Thanks again for taking the time to do all the set up and returning
the bad table. There are so few audio experts with your knowledge and expertise,
Sacramento is in trouble when it comes to quality Audiophile advice and service!
Thanks again,

Hi Marc,
I trust all is well with you. I’ve mounted the plasma display and wired it with
the Apature cables and LOVE it! John Slaga, from Apature, was very accommodating
in getting the cable order straightened out as quickly as possible. I’m very pleased
with the Accusound cables and may replace the audio side of my system with them
at some point in the near future...
Best Regards,
Gery Mayes
I rec'd these tubes yesterday. I wanted to thank you for the help you provided
in the acquisition of them as well as the ASL phono/pre that I purchased. The
question I had with the crackling were met by yourself and another very well.
Glad you all could help me in my first step into the sound of tubes.
Erik
Marc,
I purchased the Phase Tech speakers and the Sherwood AV
receiver from you and wanted to let you know that the system has performed way
above my expectations. Everything from stereo sound to DTS surround sound movies
are incredible. The system is very crisp and clear with a large soundstage also.
My only complaint is that my 32 inch TV seems too small now for such a large sound.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased with my purchase
and your help.
Thanks,
Phil Massey
Hello Marc,
You were
with a customer last night so I spoke to your associate. I went ahead and sold
the Music Hall MMF 2.1 out right. I was suprised at how fast it went, and that
I got $125.00 for it with the standard Goldring (WOW). anyway, you are shipping
me the MMF 5 today (via your associate) and after I run that a while, I'll be
back for another upgrade. I think that I would like to try a Thorens table in
about a year... Thanks again for your outstanding service :)

Hey Dennis, the Grado SR80's sounded very good, but I heard way to much outside noise. They were also very uncomfortable. And yes I do prefer over the ear design for added comfort. I bought the SONY MDR-V600 headphones and so far I'm very happy with them in every way! So if you will credit my account that would be great. Thank You Very Much Dennis. Your customer service is superb. Shawn Otterson
Hi
Marc,
I got the Sumiko BLUE POINT this afternoon.
I set it up
with 1.5 grams of Tracking Force and all the other goodies. I
love the
sound! It's so clear and pure. There is no HUM like a Magnetic
Phono Cartridge tends to display. The sound is clear from the outer bands
all the way to the inner bands of the record.
Thanks a million again
for your assistance in getting me up and running again.

Hi Marc,
That was
very nice of you to reply with such a thorough explanation. I appreciate
you being honest
and direct with me, Marc. I admire that in people,
and it's altogether too rare in business. Thank
you.
Also,
I agree with you about Mr. Vandersteen's product. He clearly puts a tremendous
amount of
thought and care into his designs, and I respect that a lot.
The sound speaks for itself, and
truthfully, I like it and will probably become
a customer.
With regards to my dealer in Fort Collins, Colorado, he has
an established reputation of being
somewhat standoffish. I will probably
take a trip to Denver where I believe there is another
Vandersteen dealer.
You have been very fair with me, but I don't want there to be any issues for
you, particularly now that I know the circumstances of your relationship with
Vandersteen.
Thank you again for your kindness, Marc. I wish I
lived in your sales area.
Best,

Marc,
I received the speaker stands. Thanks for the
excellent service.

Hi Marc,
Just wanted to let you
know the cables arrived. They look great and I can't
wait to start using them!
Thank you for your follow-up.

Marc,
such above-and-beyond actions are well noted. I very much appreciate it, and will
not hesitate to order from you again. The item is over my budget, but I think
it will be a high-quality piece that surpasses my system and lasts for many years.
Thank you.
Mark
Hey Marc,
Thanks for the speedy response. I'll consider the options you gave me. A local tech said he could 'build' one for me for about 40-50 dollars. With shipping on the Apature part, it might be about the same price and much quicker for me to go with the local creation. I hope your business stays successful. You seem to take great care with customer service, and deserve the rewards of that. Regards, Hal Davis
Dennis,
We received
the amp stand by Fed X today. It arrived in perfect condition and the Classe CA300
looks mighty good sitting on it!
Thanks so much,

Subject: Worth The Drive........
To Marc Silver:
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say how much I enjoyed my visit to your store in Santa Rosa. It took about two hours from Walnut Creek, but was definitely worth the drive. Without a doubt your store in terms of sheer size and quality of audio merchandise was a big surprise. But more importantly, was the very helpful and professional advice from both Jason and Dennis in helping me evaluate and eventually purchase the right pair of speakers for my needs. I opted for the Meadow Kestrel hotrod version, and can't wait for them to arrive. I truly can say I haven't experienced a more enjoyable, and educational 3 plus hours in a long time. I now have an inkling about the meaning of "biwiring", transmission line bass loading, etc. Now, I know what it means when the term "small town" friendliness is mentioned. Everyone from your employees, to your customers, were extremely friendly, you just don't see that to this level in the bay area. Anyway, wishing you much future success.
Sincerely,
Bill Quan
