CAM Index Input - Block G

This circuit is needed for applications where a seperate CAM position input is needed.  I have converted the original Edelbrock wide pulse detect ignition trigger input to use a crank trigger as the primary ignition trigger and the the distributor pickup as the CAM index input quite some time ago.  This input will be tied to the #1 detector now installed in my distributor.  For applications that use a missing tooth or a wide pulse aproach the main Ignition Input (Block H) can solely be used.
It is designed to accept either 0 to +5 volt or 0 to +12 volt input.  Actually anything that cleanly crosses the threshold of the LM339 comparator will work.  With the current values that would be above 1.96 volts on the rising edge and below 3.93 volts on the falling edge.
