Shipping & Shipping Charges:
For shipments inside of California shipping is 10% of the total cost of goods or $10.00, whichever is higher. For shipments in the continental United States other than California the charge is 15% or $10.00, whichever is higher. For Alaska and Hawaii or Overnight and 2nd Day shipping we charge a $5.00 handling fee PLUS the shipping charges billed at cost. A separate shipping charge will apply to each address in a multiple address order. We normally ship via FedEx. Other carriers are possible by special arrangement. I realize that an $10.00 minimum may seem high, but that is actually what it costs us on average for a small order. The prices on this website are the same price as if you came to the pottery and picked up what you want, so we have to charge for the extra time and expense of shipping the order. Back to top.

Delivery Time:
Because we offer so many shapes and glaze choices, we can't keep every item in stock and ready to ship, so shipping times will vary from order to order. We try to ship as quickly as possible. If we have everything for your order in stock, it will go out within a day or two which is usually the case. If it needs to be glazed-to-order, it may take a week or so. If I am out of town or I have trouble with items in your order, it may take a bit longer, but that is very, very rare. If timing is important, let me know and I can give you a specific ship date. Allow 2-3 working days in California and 5-6 working days to the East Coast for FedEx shipments by ground. Next day or second day shipping can also be arranged. Back to top.

Ordering On-line:
For your convenience we have a shopping cart system with a secure site so you can order on-line using MasterCard, Visa, American Express and PayPal. If you want to pay by check or prefer to fax or mail your credit card number to us, follow the prompts at check-out and you will be able to print out the order that is in your shopping cart and you can send that to us.Back to top.

Secure Credit Card Information:
All of our on-line orders are processed by Americart, an encrypted shopping cart service. When you go to check out you will see they hold a Verisign Certificate and subscribe to ScanAlert’s HackerSafe security program which tests daily. Your credit card information is never sent by e-mail; we retrieve it from their secure site. We do not store your credit card information on our computer, nor do we put paper that might contain credit card information in the trash without shredding.

On some browsers you will receive warnings that the shopping cart is not a secure site and that is true, but when you go to check-out where you will give your credit card, that is Americart's site and all of your information is encryted for safety.

Ordering by Phone:
This is a very small company, so there is no bank of operators waiting to take your call. But there is a toll free number, (800) 995-9553. If I am not there and someone else answers, they may or may not be able to answer questions or take an order, but they will be able to take a message, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. If there is no answer, there is a voice mail system, and you will be able to leave a secure message of any length. Back to top.

Ordering by Mail:

Ordering by Fax:
You can fax 24 hours a day to (707) 579-1116. You can use the shopping cart system to print out your order and then fax that to us. Variations in Handcrafted Work:
There are a lot of variables in ceramics work. Even though we work with molds, there is variation from piece to piece. There are differences in the thickness and weight of each piece; the curve of the rim is determined by hand finishing. Changes in the clay can give varying rates of shrinkage to a piece and slightly different dimensions than those listed on this website. The thickness of the application of the glaze and the placement in the kiln both contribute to variations in the glaze color, texture and sheen. The photographs on this website give a good sense of the shapes and glazes. Individual pieces will vary, but the quality will be consistently high. Back to top.

Junk Mail and Your Privacy:
I do not give, trade, or sell names from my mailing list. Placing an order will not bring a flood of junk mail from other companies. At present, I don't have an e-mail mailing list, but I do have a mailing list for my print catalog and updates and I customarily add the names of mail order customers to my mailing list. If you do not wish to be on this list, please make a note on your order. If you are on the mailing list and decide that you do not want to be, drop me a note or an e-mail with your name and address and I'll take care of it. Back to top.
