NEW! BALLET 101 FOR BEGINNERS WORKSHOP:
Introduction to the basics of ballet for absolute beginners!
We will offer this workshop when teachers are available and there is enough interest.

Parking
We remind you to drive slowly and carefully in our parking lots, and to park only in our lots on Wright and Polaris or on the street and not in our neighbors' lots. We ask parents and friends to enter our parking lots with great care and vigilance for the sake of our precious children. Finally, we ask that children, especially siblings of students, not play or go near the rocks in the front of our Studio 1 entrance.

About Our School
Philosophy
We follow the philosophy of Danilova and Balanchine, who believed that the quality of ballet instruction was more important than the quantity. This philosophy is followed by some of the most selective schools in the United States, including the School of American Ballet in New York City. We encourage our students to have other interests in addition to ballet, knowing that not everyone plans a career in dance. We also provide daily classes for intermediate and advanced students who are very serious about their studies.

Curriculum
The syllabus used at our school is based on the Russian system of dance training, which is taught at most major professional schools. We also incorporate other styles of ballet into our classes to ensure that our students are able to adapt to different dance and choreographic techniques. Please visit our Curriculum page for details.

Location and Facilities
Our ballet campus is located at 295A & B Polaris Avenue, and 1095 Wright Ave, Mountain View, California, where we have four studios. For the safety and comfort of our dancers, each studio has a sprung dance floor. Click here for a printable map and driving directions.

Enrollment
Approximately 250 students attend our school during the academic year. During the summer we offer an intensive ballet program to approximately 100 students.

Registration
Families new to our school should call or visit our ballet campus and take a placement class if possible (not necessary for Pre-Ballet). You can register online
at the registration page once your placement has been determined.  If you are unable to register online, you can submit a registration form (can be downloaded here or picked up at the studio).  Pacific Ballet Academy reserves the right to determine the proper class level of all entering students, regardless of their prior training.

Performances
Ballet is a performing art, and we feel that participation in performances is an important part of our students' training. We provide two opportunities for performance experience each year at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts: in the late Fall we stage The Nutcracker and in the late Spring we stage our school recital, the Summer Showcase. For more information, please visit our Performances page.

Wellness Clinic
As a special service to our students, we offer a monthly Wellness Clinic, where our students can meet with Chiropractor Dr. Rick Chaeff to discuss injuries, strengthening and stretching exercises, and proper nutrition. There is no charge for this service, and parents are encouraged to accompany their dancer to the clinic.
