The Celestial Sphere

This is a movie designed for use in a lecture on the celestial sphere. It starts with the celestial sphere— a bunch of stars on a spherical shell around the Earth, gridded by RA and Dec. It zooms in and out, attempting to connect features of the Earth (poles, equator) with features on the Celestial Sphere. As the sphere rotates, it tries to connect the motions of the sphere to what would be seen by an observer in the Norther Hemisphere.

As with many of movies, there is no narration or sound. It's designed to be used by a lecturer, who will pause it at opportune places to discuss it or ask questions of students.
