Scott Reid
Scott Reid, MA, teaches poetry workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area
and online.
First began teaching The Albany Poetry Workshop in the East Bay in 1979.
Taught poetry at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park in 1996,
continued teaching off-campus at
The Sitting Room in Cotati.
As adjunct faculty of the Special Education & Seniors Program
at
Santa Rosa Junior
College, presented autobiography writing courses for Sonoma County
elders.
Currently teaches poetry to Sonoma County youngsters as a member of
California Poets in the Schools
CPITS.
Teaches second grade through high school students in the towns of
Healdsburg, Geyserville, Calistoga, Santa Rosa, Cloverdale, Guerneville,
and Occidental.
Poems have appeared in
The Berkeley Poetry Review,
Tomcat, Blue Unicorn, Melic Review, The Dickens, First Leaves, and
The Sow's Ear Review.
Received fellowships from:
Squaw
Valley Community of Writers,
The Napa Valley Writers'
Conference, and
The Bread
Loaf Writers' Conference.
Currently holds valid California Teaching Credential, Education
Specialist.
Lives in Monte Rio, California.
