The Waterfall

Believe me, the waterfall is there and it is running, through the upper left quarter of this picture. The pond itself is behind the horizontal row of rocks in the center.

The waterfall was the only feature retained from the original big fish pond. The valve for it was under the boxwood at the upper right. We only ran it occasionally, for a few minutes at most. Mainly this was because it wasn't recirculating, but just fresh water pouring out of the pipe. Also, the pond had no overflow outlet, just a drain at the bottom. Running it without proper authorization was something I could get yelled at about.

The lantana with its lavendar blossoms has survived a winter freeze and is making good ground-cover progress.
