May 1955 Taken from the ridge above Escalle's winery, looking north toward Bon Air Road, Marin General Hospital, Marin Catholic High School and western Greenbrae. Corte Madera Creek runs across the center; along its banks at the left is Boardwalk #4, and at the right, part of Boardwalk #3, both now gone. Landfill for Hillview Gardens is being graded on this side of Boardwalk #4. At the bend in the creek at the center is a wooden foot bridge approximately where the Bon Air bridge is today. Above and slightly to the right of that, Marin General Hospital peeks over a tree-covered slope. To its left, the Marin Catholic campus with its distinctive gymnasium.
