Larkspur > Larkspur Gallery > Downtown Parade
|
July 4, 1974 With The Tamalpais looming in the distance, the Fourth of July parade starts up a Magnolia Avenue still festooned with telephone poles and overhead wires, but with trees newly-planted. The Silver Peso is, of course, still there, but the Chevron station farther down the street is long gone. Down the street is Larkspur's first lime yellow fire truck, a 1973 International; at at the time I thought it was a sacrilege. I have no idea who the young fellow is. If you do, please email me. Kodacolor negative by Paul Penna Thanks to Jim Clark for information about the fire engine. |
