The rickety old Brazil building at 557 Magnolia just north of the Lark Theater burned down in a spectacular fire in 1970. In the early days of the 20th century the bottom floor held an establishment called the Larkspur Bar. That was long gone by the time of the fire, when the lower floor was occupied by professional offices.
